Mary O’Shea

Practice Nurse

Mary graduated as an RGN from CUH in 1990. For 10 years she worked in various intensive care / Coronary Care Units in Cape Town, Sydney & London. Returning to CUH in 2002 she worked in the Cardiac Cath Labs & Rapid Access Cancer Unit.

Mary moved into practice nursing in 2018, undertaking a number of courses in order to enhance her role as a Practice Nurse.

She moved to Tower Medical Centre in 2022. Her role includes Cervical Screening,

Immunisation, Wound care, Ear irrigation, Phlebotomy, Venesection & Chronic disease management. She’s enjoying the variation in both the work & age of her patients. She is passionate about the education & empowerment of patients in disease prevention, early detection & self-management.
