Niamh Colfer

Niamh completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Children’s and General Nursing in 2014, in UCC. She has worked in a variety of settings including stroke/neuro rehab, district nursing and intensive care in London. She remained in intensive care for three years prior to moving into the community to work as a General Practice Nurse. She continued to develop her skills in this area by completing a postgraduate course in primary care, a diabetes diploma and a tissue viability course.

She joined the team in Tower Medical in 2020 and is currently undertaking a nurse prescribing course. She has a keen interest in preventative medicine and is delighted to work in an ever-developing practice. Her roles include wound management, childhood and adult immunisations, ear care, cervical smear taking, chronic disease management and phlebotomy.
